The Senegal U20 women's national team has taken a significant step forward in its bid to reach the third round of World Cup qualifying. In the first leg of the second round, played at the Lat Dior Stadium in Thiès, the Lioncelles defeated Algeria 2-0.
Marie-Louise Sarr (4th) and Khadija Badio (9th) scored the two goals that gave Senegal a valuable lead. The Senegalese coach's charges will have to confirm this result on Saturday, September 27 in Blida, during the return match.
