The third day of the Champions League phase concluded this Wednesday, with nine matches on the schedule. Galatasaray, with Ismaïl Jakobs, a starter and author of a good performance, won against FK Bodø/Glimt (3-1). In the duel between Senegalese players, Monaco, with Krépin Diatta, a starter before being forced off injured, was held to a draw by Tottenham (0-0) where Pape Matar Sarr came on as a substitute in the 60th minute.
At the Allianz Arena, Nicolas Jackson's Bayern Munich crushed Club Bruges (4-0). Coming on in the 69th minute to replace Harry Kane, the Senegalese striker scored the Germans' fourth goal in the 79th minute.
Away to Germany, Liverpool recovered well by outclassing Frankfurt (5-1) and ending a run of four consecutive defeats.
In the clash of European giants, Real Madrid dominated Juventus (1-0). At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea swept aside Ajax Amsterdam (5-1).
Slavia Prague, with Youssoupha Mbodj starting, earned a valuable 0-0 draw in Italy against Atalanta. Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao claimed their first victory in the competition after two defeats, beating Qarabag 3-1.
Finally, away to Portugal, Marseille were knocked off their perch by Sporting (2-1).
At the end of this 3rd day, PSG, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Inter Milan and Real Madrid occupy the top of their respective groups with 9 points each.
