UFOA-A U20 féminin : Le Sénégal écrase le Mali et signe un troisième succès de rang
The Senegalese U20 women's national team continues its flawless run at the WAFU-A U20 tournament held in Guinea-Bissau. After victories against Gambia (2-0) and Liberia (2-0), the Lionesses comfortably defeated Mali on Thursday with a resounding 4-0 victory.
Very enterprising from the kickoff, the Senegalese women quickly imposed their rhythm and took control of the match. Their dominance was rewarded in the 23rd minute with a goal from Mame Diarra Diallo.
Upon returning from the locker room, the Senegalese players continued their impressive display. Captain and true offensive leader of the team, Sokhna Nogaye Pène, distinguished herself with a brace of penalty goals in the 69th and 90th minutes. With five goals now in the competition, the Lionesses' playmaker confirms her excellent form and her crucial role in the Senegalese attack.
Between Sokhna Nogaye Pène's two goals, Marie Sarr also participated in the offensive festival by scoring Senegal's third goal in the 79th minute.
With this third consecutive victory, Senegal confirms its status as tournament favorite before facing Guinea-Bissau on Sunday for its next match.
