Un jeune joueur du FC Metz grièvement brulé à Crans Montana
Football Club de Metz announced on Thursday evening that a young aspiring player had been seriously burned in the tragedy that occurred in Crans Montana.
"FC Metz is saddened to announce that Tahirys Dos Santos, a trainee player for the club originally from Mont-Saint-Martin, was injured in the fire that occurred in Crans-Montana (Switzerland) on New Year's Eve. Severely burned, the 19-year-old Metz player was airlifted to Germany, where he is currently receiving treatment."
On Thursday, January 1st, around 1:30 a.m., a fire broke out in a bar in the Swiss ski resort of Crans Montana. Authorities reported approximately forty deaths and over one hundred injuries, most of them severe burns. Among the victims was a young player from FC Metz, as announced by the club in a statement Thursday evening.
"News will be provided should his health condition change."
"Deeply saddened by this news, the club's management, players, coaches, and staff are in shock and are sending their thoughts to Tahirys during this difficult time as he battles his suffering," FC Metz stated. "Updates on Tahirys' condition will be provided should there be any significant changes in his health. In the meantime, FC Metz asks everyone to please respect the privacy of Tahirys and his family."
US Thionville Lusitanos (National 2) also posted a message of support for the young player. He had, in fact, had a trial with the club. "Tahirys is a young player we welcomed to USTL for a trial.
