Un titulaire du Sénégal content du tirage : « C’était mon rêve de jouer contre la France »
The draw for the 2026 World Cup will offer a rematch of the 2002 clash between France and Senegal. A fixture that delights Senegalese international defender Moussa Niakhaté.
Speaking over the phone on the Winamax set, the Olympique Lyonnais player expressed his delight at meeting the French national team.
“I said my dream was for Senegal to play France, regardless of the rest of the group. Well, they listened to me. When I saw Shaquille O'Neal draw the slip of paper, I was so happy. It's exceptional. We know there was a match in 2002, which I followed when I was at school. It's been 23 years since that happened. At some point, it had to happen. Now, it's time to repeat the victory,” said the Senegalese defender.
In 2002, during the opening match of the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, Senegal won 1-0 against France, with a goal from the legendary Pape Bouba Diop.
The new generation of Lions will be keen to follow in the footsteps of the 2002 generation.

La France n'est pas un big deal. le seul probleme est la Fifa qui est devenu une organization de merde. Complots, magouilles pour de l'argent et eliminer certaines equipes. A quoi ca sert si un terrage favorige un continent ou certaines equipes. Straight BS.
