"Nous sommes surpris et consternés" : La Fédération espagnole de football annonce le retrait de Lamine Yamal de la liste
Lamine Yamal will not play against Georgia and Turkey during this international break. In a statement, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced his removal from Luis de la Fuente's squad due to surgery to treat his pubalgia, without informing the federation.
"The medical services of the Spanish Football Federation expressed their surprise and dismay upon learning at 1:47 p.m. on Monday, November 10, the day the official training camp with the national team began, that player Lamine Yamal had undergone a radio wave procedure that morning to treat pain in the pubic region. This procedure was carried out without any prior communication with the national team's medical staff, who only became aware of the details through a report received yesterday evening at 10:40 p.m., which recommended a rest period of 7 to 10 days," the RFEF stated in a press release published this Tuesday.
The federation, citing concerns about Lamine Yamal's health, has decided to rest him as a precaution. It should be noted that the FC Barcelona winger, who scored against Celta Vigo on Sunday, did not participate in the last international break due to his groin injury. This injury had generated considerable discussion in Spain, even sparking a public spat between national team coach Luis de la Fuente and Barcelona coach Hansi Flick.
