«Pourquoi j'ai choisi le…» : la révélation de Black Tiger, fils de l’ancien Tigre de Fass Tapha Guèye

Son of Senegalese wrestling legend Moustapha Guèye, nicknamed the second Tiger of Fass, Mouhamed Guèye has chosen to follow in his father's footsteps, but in a different discipline: Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

From childhood, he was immersed in an environment marked by traditional wrestling. "Wrestling is a family thing for us. I grew up surrounded by my uncles who were wrestlers, so naturally, I was immersed in it from my childhood," he confided to L'Observateur.

Despite this heritage, Mouhamed wanted to forge his own identity and broaden his skills. He discovered other combat sports, notably boxing, before turning to MMA: "I started with wrestling because it's a family tradition and passion. But I wanted to discover something else, broaden my skills, and that's how I turned to MMA."

Based in France, he trains with Team Merad, alongside seasoned professionals, in an environment where rigor and competitive spirit forge his fighting spirit.

Nicknamed Black Tiger, he successfully completed his baptism of fire by winning his first official match against Cédric Djiomkam. "Fighting is my heritage. Rage, my driving force. This is not just a beginning, it is the awakening of a new Tiger."

Yet, despite this initial success, he remains grounded: "This victory has not affected me because I consider that I have not yet achieved anything. Everything is ahead of me."

At the same time, he is pursuing studies in sports management, following the wishes of his father who placed great importance on education: "I plan to complete my master's degree in sports management before fully pursuing my passion in goal."

In the long term, his ambition is clear: "to build a great career in MMA, aim for belts and leave my mark on this sport."

And while Black Tiger does not rule out joining the Senegalese arena one day like his older brother, "Son of Tiger," he remains focused on his international career for the time being: "Wrestling is part of my plans, but for now, I'm focused on my MMA career," concludes the young fighter.
