The Eagles of Medina team confirmed their supremacy in national women's football. In the final of the Senegalese Cup, the Medina footballers dominated AS Bambey 2-0.
Playing with complete control, the Eagles quickly took the lead in this final. In the 12th minute, Maty Cissokho opened the scoring with a cross-shot that lobbed the AS Bambey goalkeeper.
Dominant in possession of the ball, the Medina players then created several opportunities to break away, but the final touch was often lacking.
It wasn't until the first minute of the second half that the Eagles of Medina doubled their lead through Ndèye Awa Casset. The striker capitalized on a poor clearance by the AS Bambey goalkeeper to score the second goal (46th minute).
The Eagles of Medina thus win the national trophy for the third consecutive time.
