Yékini : «J’ai choisi de me taire»
Yékini broke his silence to pay tribute to his mentor, Amadou Katy Diop, who recently passed away. Speaking to Evenprod, the former King of the Arena explained why he hasn't appeared in the media for years. "It's a choice," he stated, responding to a question on the subject. He continued, "In an environment where anyone can speak out and say anything, I prefer to remain silent. Not everyone should be speaking."
Yékini continued: “The most dangerous thing is to speak when you know nothing about the subject you’re discussing. Before, people listened to you when you spoke. Today, that’s no longer the case. Things have completely changed and are made worse by social media. People feel entitled to say anything, and it shouldn’t be like that. That’s why I’ve chosen to remain silent.”
