Menace terroriste : « Nous renforçons notre sécurité sur l’ensemble des frontières » (Pr Diomaye)
Senegal is on guard against the proven terrorist threat in several neighboring states, particularly on the border with Mali. This was stated by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye during an interview with the French channel France 24 on Friday, September 26, 2025, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
"The threat of terrorism is not just in western Mali or eastern Senegal. I am convinced that the phenomenon of terrorism is a threat wherever it exists," declared the Head of State, who insists that surveillance at the borders should be reinforced.
"We are strengthening our security along all borders because the threat can come from anywhere and can be multifaceted," emphasizes the President of the Republic, convinced that to overcome this growing phenomenon, we need "an integrated approach, combining the exchange of intelligence, dialogue between the powers and countries involved, but also with the countries whose borders are threatened."
The Head of State also reminded the international community that: "humanity has a linked security destiny." According to him, each time terrorism has established itself in a lasting way somewhere, it has sought to project itself beyond its bases. Therefore, he deduces, "all countries are concerned by what is happening in Mali and everywhere else as long as it concerns terrorism."
He took the opportunity to warn powers that would attempt to use the continent as a proxy for their conflict. "I have always warned that Africa must not become a battleground for major powers through terrorism or conventional military intervention," he insisted.

Il faut vraiment extrader pour le faire juger comme on a jugé Sarkozy en France. Il est un justiciable comme les autres.
La haute cour de justice doit être réformée ou éliminée
Il faut faire juger les personnes qui exerçaient des fonctions et qui on détourné les derniers comme les autres citoyens car ils ne sont plus en fonctions
