Transport aérien : le Chef de l’État exige une accélération des chantiers et une stratégie renforcée pour le Hub aérien
Following the successful conclusion of the ASECNA Committee of Ministers meeting in Dakar, the President of the Republic congratulated the Minister of Land and Air Transport for the successful organization of the event. He took the opportunity to remind the government of the importance of developing the aviation sector within the "Senegal 2050" Vision.
The Head of State stressed the need to accelerate the forward-looking review of the strategy aimed at making Senegal a true regional "air hub", integrating all its components, namely infrastructure, services, financing and attractiveness.
Regarding the development of the national airport network, he asked the Government to expedite the completion and securing of construction and modernization work at regional airports. He also instructed the executive branch to continue the ongoing improvement of services and the expansion of infrastructure at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD).
Addressing the issue of the national airline, Air Sénégal SA, the President emphasized the importance of strategic control over the fleet, investments, operations, and service quality within the framework of the ongoing Transformation Plan. He therefore entrusted the Prime Minister with rigorous strategic oversight of the national airline.
Furthermore, the Head of State ordered the implementation of a special program to modernize the "Léopold Sédar Senghor" military airport.
