Popenguine 2026 : Le plan de transport et les tarifs de Dakar Dem Dikk pour les pèlerins
For the Marian pilgrimage to Popenguine, which begins this Saturday, May 23, 2026, the national public transport company Dakar Dem Dikk is mobilizing. To ensure pilgrims travel in the best possible conditions, the company has implemented a comprehensive logistical and fare plan tailored to the different phases of this major religious event.
For Saturday, May 23rd only, four strategic departure points have been selected across the capital to facilitate access for walkers to Cap des Biches. Worshippers can embark from the Uganda Martyrs Church, the Guédiawaye Parish (near the Amadou Barry Stadium), and the Parcelles-Assainies Unit 17 bus terminal (next to the Immaculate Conception Church), for a fare of 300 FCFA. A departure is also planned from the Bambilor Parish for 500 FCFA.
For Sunday, the system will be adapted to transport passengers directly to the Popenguine site. Connections will be provided at a fare of 2,500 FCFA from three main assembly points: the HLM Grand-Yoff terminus, the Keur Massar Dem Dikk terminus, and again the Parcelles-Assainies Unit 17 terminus.
