Transports aériens : l’alerte des syndicats du secteur
The Joint Union of Civil Aviation and Air Transport Workers is raising the alarm about the situation prevailing in their sector. Among other things, it denounces the failure to respect the agreements and recommendations stemming from the General Assembly of Public Transport in October 2024 concerning the air transport sub-sector, the deterioration of working conditions in certain structures within the airport platform, and the lack of involvement of social partners, particularly the Joint Union, in the establishment of a social dialogue committee within their supervisory body.
"This situation directly affects the living conditions of workers and the quality of public service provided to users. The consequences are now visible and worrying: loss of confidence, demotivation of teams, instability, psychosocial risks, social tensions, increased risks for air safety, etc.," declares the Inter-union group.
She reiterated the commitments made by their supervisory body during their meeting on December 5, 2025, particularly regarding the management and conduct of social dialogue, the consensual adoption of a meeting schedule, and mechanisms for monitoring the conclusions. "These commitments have remained a dead letter," the union representatives lamented. Today, the inter-union group is demanding clear and concrete answers, as well as "solid guarantees to extricate the sector from this dangerous impasse."
She formulated eight demands on the authorities. Among them: the settlement of Air Senegal's debt to LAS SA, Anacim, AIBD SA, 2AS, 2AS Technics and TSA; respect for the agreements signed concerning the security and regular payment of the supplementary Air Safety Allowance (ISA); the abandonment of the project to create a subsidiary of 2AS with Air Senegal SA; the financial autonomy of AIBD SA; as well as the finalization of the process of harmonizing remuneration, among others.
The inter-union group emphasizes that the relevant ministry has been repeatedly alerted to the need to find lasting and mutually agreeable solutions to the concerns of workers in the sector, but without success. Today, it appeals to the highest state authorities to demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility.
"In the absence of serious negotiations and satisfactory long-term and structural solutions to these various concerns, the Inter-Union Alliance reserves the right to take all legal and legitimate actions, including strikes, sit-ins and marches, to achieve its demands," it warns.
