Concours Général 2025 : La Fondation Sonatel récompense les lauréats avec 12,5 millions de FCFA
The Sonatel Foundation reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to education in Senegal by honoring the winners of the 2025 General Competition during a ceremony held this Thursday, August 7. In keeping with its civic mission, it mobilized a budget of 12.5 million FCFA to reward the country's brightest students.
Among the notable distinctions, Ameth Babou and Abdoulaye Kébé, respectively the best students in the Première and Terminale classes, each received a scholarship of one million CFA francs. In addition, the Foundation offered a digital pack (30 GB, 3,000 minutes of calls and 1,000 text messages valid for two months) to the high school graduates who obtained the highest honors as well as to the competition winners.
This ceremony was also an opportunity for the Sonatel Foundation to pay a vibrant tribute to Pape Natango Mbaye, an inspiring student who writes with his feet. In recognition of his resilience and merit, he was awarded the Coup de Cœur Prize, which comes with a prize of 500,000 FCFA.
In her speech, the General Administrator of the Sonatel Foundation, Ms. Coura Sow, praised the effort, rigor, and talent of these young people. For her, these awards reflect Sonatel's strong commitment to inclusive, equitable, and excellence-driven education.
Patron of the 2025 General Competition, former minister André Sonko urged Senegalese youth to show humility and ambition.
