Forum sur le livre et la lecture en Casamance : Rencontre préparatoire des acteurs de l'écosystème du livre à Ziguinchor
Book stakeholders from the natural Casamance region gathered at the Ziguinchor government yesterday, Saturday, September 27, to prepare for the forum on books and reading. This meeting, chaired by the Secretary of State for Culture, Creative Industries, and Historical Heritage, alongside Governor Mor Talla Tine and the academy inspectorate, aims to raise awareness among stakeholders in order to mobilize as many young people as possible to boost the development of reading.
For Bakary Sarr, it will be a matter of reflecting on the revival and development of reading. He will also reflect on the national book policy, by finding mechanisms to implement the book chain development program, including the economic aspect and the transmission of knowledge.
The Secretary of State emphasized the importance of books in the training of elites. "Youth are at the heart of these targets. The school world, but the school world in all its diversity," while taking into account linguistic diversity and teaching in French, Arabic, and other types of teaching that contribute to training and the transmission of knowledge.
Bakary Sarr also praised the quality of the contributions made by the stakeholders at the end of this meeting in Ziguinchor and welcomed the relevance of the requests in relation to the organizational and training systems, educational activities and activities around books in Casamance.
