GITEX Global 2025 : Turquie, Brésil et Inde rejoignent le réseau mondial
Fueling the future is the motto of GITEX Global, which takes place in Dubai from October 13 to 17. Over five days, more than 6,000 companies and 2,000 startups from 180 countries will showcase their latest technological innovations, with a particular focus on one of the hottest areas of the moment: artificial intelligence.
This event provides an ideal opportunity for these inventors to unveil their work in front of more than 200,000 visitors, while potentially attracting future investors. At GITEX 2025, robotics occupied a prominent place in the aisles, particularly with the Chinese delegation. Among the exhibitors, Booster Robotics, a company specializing in the manufacture of humanoid robots, attracted attention.
Its representative, Mingxu Cao, explains that "Booster Robotics is a young company whose technical teams have over twenty years of combined experience in the production of humanoid robots." These engineers come, according to her, from Tsinghua University, one of the most prestigious in China. The company is developing two main models: "the T1 intended for developers and the K1 designed for educators." She specifies that "the robots are robust, mature, and open source, allowing users to create their own functions, such as navigation or environmental perception." Mingxu Cao emphasizes the vision that guides their work: "Humanoid robots will represent the future. We live in an environment designed for human beings. A robot that resembles them will therefore have more applications."
For her, these technologies do not threaten employment, but support workers: "Robots will not replace humans. They will help them perform repetitive or dangerous tasks." She also mentions the K20 model, "so cute," which she imagines as "the first robotic friend of children at home in two or three years." Regarding Africa, Mingxu Cao believes that "universities and students on the continent would benefit from learning about robotics through our models." She expresses the wish to "promote the development of this profession on a global scale, including in Senegal."
Her presence in Dubai is part of this openness: "We came to show our products to those who don't know us yet, to demonstrate that they really exist and that they are operational," she explains. She adds that "on the internet, you never know if what you see is an authentic video or not. Here, visitors can see that our robots are real and functional." The Dubai computer exhibition, known as GITEX (for Gulf Information Technology Exhibition), was born in 1981 under the name "Gulf Computer Exhibition".
In just forty-five years, the event has established itself as one of the world's three largest trade shows dedicated to information and communication technologies. Building on this success, the organization is now expanding globally. A continental event has been held annually for the past three years in Morocco, while another, inaugurated in 2025 in Nigeria, showcases West African technological know-how. Europe has also taken the plunge with the first edition of the European GITEX, held in Berlin from May 21 to 23, 2025. This Tuesday, October 14, three new countries formalized the upcoming organization of their own GITEX: Turkey, Brazil, and India.
GITEX AI Türkiye will be held in Istanbul from September 9 to 10, 2026. It will bring together leading global technology players, emerging startups, and decision-makers from Eurasia. Organized by KAOUN International in partnership with the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, the event will feature immersive showcases on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, gaming, cloud, and connectivity. The following year, Latin America will host GITEX AI LATAM, scheduled for March 16 to 17, 2027, in Distrito Anhembi, São Paulo.
Led by the Dubai World Trade Centre and KAOUN International, in partnership with the São Paulo Development Agency (ADESAMPA), this event will build on the momentum of the Brazilian digital market, estimated at nearly US$950 billion by 2026. It will aim to position the continent as a crossroads where Latin America's digital future intersects with the greatest global advances.
A few weeks later, in April 2027, it will be India's turn to host GITEX AI India in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This partnership between the Dubai World Trade Centre, KAOUN International, and the Indian Department of Electronics, Information Technology, and Biotechnology aims to strengthen ties between the Indian technology ecosystem and the GITEX network. With a digital industry estimated to reach US$350 billion by 2026 and representing 10% of the national GDP, India is positioning itself as a driving force in the new global wave of technological and economic transformation.
