On Friday, March 27, 2026, Coris Bank International and the Union of Private Physicians of Senegal (SYMEPS) formalized a major partnership agreement. This alliance specifically aims to support private sector practitioners in their development projects through the implementation of personalized financial offers with preferential terms. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the CEO of Coris Bank International, the President of SYMEPS, and several executives from both institutions.

For Prosper Zongo, CEO of Coris Bank International, this agreement reflects the bank's firm commitment to supporting professional organizations with financing tailored to the specific needs of the medical profession. He emphasized the bank's desire to actively contribute to strengthening medical technology throughout Senegal. The CEO also gave assurances regarding the quality of services that will be deployed to support investments by private clinics and practices.

For his part, the President of SYMEPS, Abdou Kane Diop, warmly welcomed this initiative, noting that access to financing remains the main bottleneck in the private medical sector. He expressed his satisfaction with this agreement, which, according to him, constitutes an essential lever for modernizing the sector and, ultimately, improving the quality of care provided to the Senegalese population.

Dr. Diop concluded by emphasizing the strategic importance of the private sector, which currently provides 45% of healthcare services in Senegal. He stated that this partnership with Coris Bank will not only strengthen existing structures but will also play a leading role in promoting medical tourism, thus positioning Senegal as a leading healthcare hub in the sub-region.
