The American vision of Africa is very complex, determined by negative stereotypes (jungle, poverty) conveyed by certain media.
Recently, African Americans have been expressing their astonishment at "the real reality" via social media. Thanks to videos from the streamer IshowSpeed, they are discovering that there is Wi-Fi, cars, road infrastructure, and even modern houses in Africa.
Through their various reactions, these young African Americans reveal that they have been brainwashed by the American government, which has taught them that "Africa is very poor, dangerous, a jungle to be avoided." Some of them, with tears in their eyes, express their astonishment at learning that Africa is not as it has been described to them.
Moreover, thanks to videos shot by the world's most famous American YouTuber, showing a completely different side of Africa, many are considering visiting the continent of their ancestors to see for themselves.
For his African tour, Darren Watkins Jr. plans to visit 20 African countries, including Senegal. The YouTuber is currently in Zambia.

IShowSpeed paye des acteurs pour pleurer et faire croire qu'il fait l'énorme travail de sensibiliser les noirs américains.
