Plan de développement de Kaolack : Médina Baye adoube le projet porté par Baye Ciss
The recovery and development plan for the city of Kaolack, initiated by businessman Baye Ciss, has just received significant support. The Caliph General of Medina Baye gave his solemn blessing to this ambitious project during a presentation ceremony held on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The event, held in the Keur Ngane conference hall in Medina Baye, brought together numerous religious and traditional leaders. Addressing the audience, the Khalif of Medina Baye Niasse, Sheikh Mouhamadoul Mahi Sheikh Ibrahim, expressed his optimism for the future of the Saloum capital.
According to the religious leader, Kaolack is a city "easy to develop" due to its numerous natural and economic advantages. However, he specified that this growth can only be achieved through structured programs. "In this particular case, Baye Ciss (El Hadj Ibrahima Ciss) is on the right track. We pray that God makes his task easy so that Kaolack becomes one of the best cities in Senegal," the religious leader affirmed during the ceremony.
This support from one of the highest religious authorities in the country marks a crucial step for the project led by the businessman, thus strengthening the credibility and social base of this urban recovery plan.
