Magal de Touba: Le Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal apporte sa contribution et révolutionne avec une plateforme digitale

Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal (CMS) made its presence felt at Magal 2025 in a unique way, combining a tradition of solidarity with a technological revolution. Under the leadership of its Managing Director, Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop, the financial institution not only renewed its commitment to the Mouride community, but also unveiled a digital innovation that fundamentally repositions the customer experience.

A high-level delegation to Touba

The CMS's official visit to Touba followed a now well-established protocol, but with a special dimension this year. Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop was accompanied by an exceptional delegation including Serigne Ba, Chairman of the CMS Foundation Board, as well as several senior management officials.

The delegation was received by Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, General Caliph of the Mourides. He presented a substantial contribution to the religious leader for the celebration of the Grand Magal.

"As usual as Magal approaches, Crédit Mutuel Senegal is sending a delegation to visit the caliphs and the authorities of Touba to provide them with material and logistical support," explained the Managing Director, emphasizing the regularity of this commitment.

A strengthened historical attachment

The CMS's commitment to Touba is not limited to a one-off contribution. Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop was keen to emphasize his institution's deep roots in Senegal's social fabric: "Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal has always been very attached to Touba, to all the events organized by Touba, just as Crédit Mutuel du Senegal supports all communities."

A multifaceted contribution

The CMS's contribution to Magal 2025 is multifaceted. On a material level, the institution provided basic necessities to facilitate preparations for the event. These practical contributions meet the concrete needs of both organizers and pilgrims.

More significantly, the CMS is directly involved in the preparatory work for the Magal. "We supported the organizing committee to thoroughly clean the city before the Magal and we will still be there, inshallah, after the Magal to help clean the holy city," the Director General said.

Digital innovation: a silent revolution

The CMS's real breakthrough for this 2025 edition lies in the launch of its digital services platform. This major innovation radically transforms the relationship between the institution and its clients, removing traditional time constraints.

"The innovative aspect this year is the implementation of digital services. Today, all of our members, all of our customers can operate 24/7 from their mobile phones," announced Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop with obvious pride.

This complete digitalization allows customers to access their funds, make transfers, make payments, and perform all necessary banking operations without time constraints. The revolution is all the more significant because it frees customers from being tied to branch opening hours.

Innovation goes even further with the introduction of fully paperless credit. Customers can now "apply for credit online and see their application processed, a response provided, and the credit set up directly online without the need to visit their branch."
