Makino Scram is an Afro-urban singer-songwriter of Congolese origin, born in Liège and raised between Mons, Paris and London.

Founder of his own structure, Asphaltes Group Creative Studios (Liège), he is establishing himself as a rising voice on the Afro-European scene, at the crossroads of rap, Afrobeat, gospel and R&B.

Active since 2008, he began as a guitarist in the Gospel scene as well as the Parisian ndombolo scene, where he built a solid reputation before becoming one of the forerunners of the Afro-urban movement of the early 2010s by collaborating with artists and groups such as: Les Probos, Killa Predator, Lodia H2O, Mwinda Mannekin, Tengaishy, the GKGD.

A self-taught and complete artist, he embodies a bridge between spirituality, the street and urban culture, blending Congolese sounds, hip-hop energy and gospel emotion.

His journey, marked by juvenile detention centers and prison, fuels a sincere, melancholic and harsh writing style, where redemption and realism intertwine.

This raw authenticity, combined with a rich and international musicality, makes him a profoundly human and universal artist.

Influenced by figures like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Booba, IAM, Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomidé, Jimi Hendrix or Kirk Franklin, Makino Scram draws on gospel, West Coast hip-hop, rumba and soul to create a hybrid and identifiable sound, at once African, urban and introspective.

Today, he asserts himself as a complete artist — singer, composer, producer and musician — determined to bring the new Afro-European identity to the biggest international stages.

His new album, “Confidentiel,” marks the culmination of his behind-the-scenes work and a promising artistic renewal. With a very large audience in Francophone Africa,
