Born in Guinea, between Kindia and Conakry, and surrounded by the vibrant energy of the working-class neighborhoods where he grew up, Moukby is an artist who embodies the rich musical heritage of his continent. From childhood, he was immersed in urban culture and founded his first group, “Cœur Aodi,” in 1999. Inspired by the realities of African suburbs, he became a singer-songwriter, crafting a style that blends rap, reggae, dancehall, Afro-fusion, and multiple languages: French, English, Fulani, and Susu.

Arriving in France in 2009, his journey took a decisive turn in Belfort, where he discovered the music scene, artistic organization, and self-production. There, he created the FIDJIDENE association, founded the group The World Samples, and launched the Hip-Hop Events Festival, bringing together local artists and those from the diaspora. His work became more professional: a 5-track EP, 1,000 CDs pressed, his first music video, “Néné” (a tribute to his mother), which was a great success, and numerous collaborations, including “Évolué” with Jak Woumpak. A committed activist, he also composed “Stop Ebola,” which received support from a broad local movement.

In 2016, he moved to Paris, and his stage presence propelled him to the national finals of the Emergenza International Festival at the Bataclan, where he confirmed his reputation as a confident and powerful performer, a true stage animal. His career has been enriched by international collaborations (Jamaica, Senegal), new influences, and an increasingly assertive artistic vision.

Today, Moukby opens a new chapter. Between Paris and Africa, he is developing an authentic and sensitive artistic direction: a poetic, emotional, and profoundly human Afro-fusion. His project “KO AN,” currently in development, reflects this evolution. His recent tracks, Himo Hidhilan and Malad'elle, reveal an intimate, touching, and modern sound, where the artist shares his truths, his struggles, and his vision of the world.

Humble, endearing, and guided by a simple philosophy: living together without discrimination, staying true to oneself, and sharing what truly matters. Moukby stands out as a unique voice: that of a determined, rooted artist, yet resolutely focused on the future.

KO AN is Moukby's new project, a 5-track EP released gradually as singles, accompanied by 2 bonus tracks. Conceived as an emotional journey through wounds, love, spirituality, and rebirth, the EP marks a major turning point in the Guinean artist's artistic evolution.

Blending modern Afro-fusion, Mandinka influences, Fulani pastoral folklore, and profound melodies, KO AN explores what happens "inside": hidden emotions, intimate thoughts, and feelings that only music can release. It's an authentic, sensitive, and deeply human project.
