Nouvelles filiales, digitalisation et performances records : Toussaint Manga dévoile les grandes ambitions de la LONASE
The Senegalese National Lottery (Lonase) organized an institutional panel on Wednesday at the Senegal International Trade Center (CICES) on the theme: "Lonase and its subsidiaries: what are the prospects?". This strategic meeting allowed the Director General, Toussaint Manga, to present a vision of profound transformation, focused on diversifying activities, digitalization, and an increased contribution to public finances.
The CEO noted that Lonase, a semi-public company attached to the Ministry of Finance and Budget, now relies on three key subsidiaries: a real estate subsidiary, a financial subsidiary (Save), and a call center (Woté). While the real estate branch operates independently from the core business, the other two are directly integrated into the company's operations. The Woté subsidiary, for example, aims to improve customer relationship management while also marketing its services to other national companies.
The financial subsidiary Save, for its part, is pursuing a strategy of complete control over the value chain, particularly in the digital segment. "In physical operations, Lonase manages cash collection and payments. In the digital sphere, we were limited to organizing games," explained Toussaint Manga. This new structure will allow Lonase to operate in the digital cash collection and payment segments, like mobile money operators, in order to diversify its resources and strengthen the company's economic independence.
On the financial front, the CEO highlighted record performance. In response to government savings calls, Lonase contributed 5 billion FCFA in a single year. Regarding dividends, after paying out 600 million FCFA for the 2022-2023 fiscal years, the company has surpassed the one billion FCFA mark for 2025, an unprecedented achievement in the company's history.
Toussaint Manga emphasized the need to view gaming as a strategic economic driver. With the implementation of the new tax on games and winnings, Lonase has already paid 2.1 billion FCFA to the Public Treasury in a single month, solely from the physical gaming segment. The Director General stressed that the potential of digital gaming is even greater and should generate substantial monthly revenue for the State.
On the social front, modernization is accompanied by more rigorous human resources management. Toussaint Manga announced the regularization of 65 additional employees, following an initial wave last year. This policy aims to offer clear career prospects and stabilize staffing levels within a company resolutely focused on the future.
As a key player in the Economic and Social Recovery Plan (PRES), Lonase intends to strengthen its role as a funder of state projects and programs. Through this restructuring, it aims to transform itself from a simple lottery organizer into a high-performing financial and technological group serving national development.
