Partenariat PAD-ASPT : Un pas vers l’excellence portuaire et touristique
The Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD) and the Senegalese Tourism Promotion Agency (ASPT) signed a partnership agreement on Monday, December 8, 2025, aimed at making Senegal a top tourist destination by promoting port excellence and tourism.
A Strategic Vision for the Maritime Economy
The Director General of the Port Authority of Douala (PAD), Waly Diouf Bodian, emphasized the importance of this step, stating that this partnership transcends mere institutional frameworks. It embodies the vision of a port that aims to be "the guardian of our coastline's prosperity, a port that watches over, protects, and supports the development of the maritime and tourism economy."
This partnership is also seen as a "promise" to create jobs, stimulate the local economy, and consolidate the port's strategic role in the region. Every initiative stemming from this collaboration is viewed as a further step towards excellence and competitiveness.
The Director General of ASPT, Dr. Adama Ndiaye, highlighted the potential of the tourism sector, and more specifically the cruise industry, which attracts not only tourists but also investors and local artisans.
He noted that Senegal has already begun developing its tourism offerings, particularly with the launch of coastal and cruise tourism in November 2024. The signing of this agreement opens new perspectives for the development of the local economy in the areas of maritime and river cruises.

Le Port de Dakar devrait avoir plus d'ambition. Quant à l' ASPT, vaut mieux voir comment vendre la destination Sénégal en berne. Faut arrêter de copier les anciens DG oisifs au temps de Macky. C'était à la mode entre les entreprises publiques ou nationales, du délire en zéro valeur ajoutée pour le Pays.
Comme au temps du régime de Macky avec des DG oisifs qui faisaient des conventions bidons. Le Port de Dakar à d'autres grands défis à relever. Y compris l'ASPT avec le tourisme agonisant au Sénégal.
