Pré-Magal : Me Babacar Ndiaye DG de la SNR salue le plan de redressement
Mr. Babacar Ndiaye, Director General of the National Recovery Society (SNR), was received by Serigne Mountakha Mbacké during his pre-Magal visit. He took the opportunity to comment on the government's economic recovery plan.
Courtesy visit and prayers for Senegal
"We came today with the SNR delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Caliph and present our best wishes for the success of this edition of Magal," said the general director.
"We took this opportunity to receive his prayers for a prosperous Senegal, so that the achievements that the President of the Republic and his Prime Minister are making in Senegal are crowned with success," he added.
Me Babacar Ndiaye also expressed "prayers for the Caliph, the entire family of Serigne Touba and all the pilgrims so that this edition of the Magal takes place in peace and without accidents."
Call for caution from drivers
The general manager took the opportunity to "deliver a message to drivers to always be careful and cautious on the road" as they approach the Grand Magal.
A "sovereign" recovery plan
Asked about the government's economic recovery plan, Mr. Babacar Ndiaye praised "the ambition of the Prime Minister who had the courage to present us with a sovereign plan, a plan for change."
"This is the first time in Senegal that we have seen an economic and social recovery plan whose majority of financing has been mobilized with our endogenous resources," he said.
Endogenous financing, a guarantee of sovereignty
The SNR's director general highlighted the difference with previous plans: "We have had to deal with recovery plans, but often these were plans whose funding sources were mobilized externally. And as you know, often if our external partners put money into projects, they also come with conditions."
"This time, to be consistent with our vision of a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal, this plan that the Prime Minister has just presented is perfectly in line with the ambitions of this regime," he concluded.
