Semaine de l’assainissement à la Médina : L’ONAS à pied d’œuvre pour un cadre de vie sain
The National Sanitation Office of Senegal (ONAS) launched Sanitation Week this Wednesday, October 8th in Medina, following its interventions in Grand-Yoff and the Marists last Monday.
On the ground, the teams noted several problems: an outdated network, stolen covers, illegal connections and rubbish thrown into manholes.
According to Blaise Faye, Director of Operations and Maintenance, ONAS has planned to unblock around ten points, renew the collectors, and replace damaged plates. He calls on residents to adopt good behavior to preserve the structures.
For his part, Deputy Mayor El Hadji Samba Camara welcomed the initiative before recalling the municipality's efforts in purchasing lids and raising awareness.
This operation, which continues until Sunday, October 12, aims to sustainably improve the living conditions of the populations of the Medina who are faced with a sanitation problem.
Through this work, the town hall and ONAS wish to offer the inhabitants of the commune of Médina a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

La Médina est très sale avec des eaux usées mélangées aux tas d'ordures ménagères.
Il faut criminaliser le vol de ferraiille et d'ouvrages oublics.
