During the 72 hours of Xidmatoul Xaadim, from December 27th to 28th, 2025, the Sheikh Ahmadoul Khadim Complex (CCAK) hosted the second edition of the Touba Bootcamp. Organized by Mourid Professionals, this large-scale event brought together experts and digital professionals to design an integrated information system for education in Touba.

Mourid Professionals: A vision in action

Mourid Professionals is a network of committed women and men who put their expertise, discipline and knowledge at the service of the religious city of Touba, according to Serigne Moustapha Gaye. This association supports existing initiatives within Mouridism by mobilizing high-level skills dispersed throughout the world.

An ambitious bootcamp for the digitalization of the CCAK

The goal of this second edition was to design an integrated information system for the Sheikh Ahmadoul Khadim Complex, a cornerstone of modern, high-performing, and connected education. For three days, experts, professionals, and digital stakeholders combined their skills to build a secure, centralized, and scalable digital infrastructure.

"We have already had several meetings with the staff of the complex. We found a rector who has a vision on digitalization, who is very keen on digitalization. This has allowed us today, in record time, to be able to organize this bootcamp," said Alioune Ndiaye, member of the management committee of Mourid Professionals.

Through its network of more than 300 experts spread across five continents, Mourid Professionals was able to mobilize 40 experts physically present at the complex, in addition to 15 experts working remotely from the United States, Canada, France and other countries.

"The goal of the bootcamp is that, starting tomorrow, we can develop a school information system that will take charge of digitalization from end to end: student registration, resource management, course management and staff management," explained Alioune Ndiaye.

The system presented at the end of the bootcamp is an MVP, meaning a functional base that will allow the university to begin using it immediately. The other modules will be developed progressively, in partnership with the IT managers of the Complex.

Several profiles contributed to this achievement: front-end and back-end developers, architects, data administrators and network administrators, all mobilized to deliver this innovative solution.

Mourid Professionals has already proven itself in Touba with several notable achievements. The association has developed a school information system for Al-Azhar, a management solution for the Moukhadimatou Khidma guesthouse, and a mobile application for Touba ça kanam.

The ambition of a university of excellence

The rector of Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim University, Professor Lamine Guèye, expressed his satisfaction with this initiative. "A few months ago, we held a meeting with Mourid Professionals to discuss how this association could contribute to the development of this university, which Serigne Mountakha hopes will become one of the best universities in the world," he recalled.

The rector emphasized the importance of digital technology in achieving excellence: "We cannot aim for excellence in higher education in terms of training, research, innovation and student integration without having a modern and suitable digital system."

The objective is clear: to have a complete information system at the university, Majalis and Quran Institute level before the end of 2026, a system that meets the expectations and needs of the complex.

A spiritual heritage at the heart of modernity

Dr. Serigne Khadim Ngom, spiritual leader of Turaas, an organization dedicated to preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, praised the excellent work done by Mourid Professionals. During the second day, Sunday, December 28th, he stated: "We live in a world of immediacy. The theme (Mouridism and Artificial Intelligence) could not be more timely. Senegal and the world will inevitably be influenced by Khadim."
