Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim University (UCAK) in Touba concluded its training session on "Hadith Sciences: Issues and Teaching Methods at the University" on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Organized in partnership with Darou-l Hadith Al-Hassaniyya University of the Kingdom of Morocco, the session took place in the meeting room of the ETISAR Faculty (CCAK).

“We had the opportunity to come and conclude an important skills development workshop on a major theme in teaching and research in Islamic sciences. This theme concerns Hadith. How to teach Hadith with all its rigor at the university level? How to exchange scientifically on the sciences of Hadith at the level of Sheikh Ahmadoul Khadim University? This was the theme chosen this year within the framework of the cooperation between the Sheikh Ahmadoul Khadim complex and the Darou-l Hadith Al-Hassaniyya University of the Kingdom of Morocco,” said Professor Lamine Guèye, Rector of UCAK.

High-level Moroccan experts

The complex hosted two eminent professors specializing in the teaching of Hadith sciences: Professors Mohamed Nassiri and Bouchta Zoufie. They led this two-and-a-half-day capacity-building session for UCAK teachers.

"Based on the evaluation that was carried out after the workshop, but also taking into account the testimonies made by all the participants and the words given by the director of the UFR Abdou Lahat Lo, we can conclude that this session has achieved its objectives which were set," the rector emphasized.

According to Professor Guèye, this session was a fruitful exchange between the trainers from Morocco and the teachers of the complex. "We also believe that the implementation of the results of this workshop will have an extremely positive impact on the teaching of Hadith sciences and on scientific reflection on Hadith within the Sheikh Ahmadoul Khadim complex," he stated.

The rector took the opportunity to thank the Moroccan professors for their rigor, availability, and generosity. He also thanked the officials of Darul Hadith Hassania University, the Moroccan authorities, and the Moroccan diplomatic representatives in Senegal who facilitated this mission. Finally, he commended the commitment of all the faculty members at the university who actively participated in the discussions during the training.

This initiative is part of an international academic cooperation aimed at promoting Islamic higher education between these two temples of knowledge.
