Formation et employabilité des jeunes : 3FPT digitalise ses services pour faciliter l’accès aux Bons de Formation
To facilitate access to training and alleviate the difficulties faced by young people, who are often forced to wait in long queues, the Vocational and Technical Training Financing Fund (3FPT) is innovating with a new digital platform dedicated to enrollment in order to obtain Initial Training Vouchers (BFI).
This digital transformation aims to modernize and simplify enrollment, now allowing young people to register online via smartphone, tablet or computer, without going to the employment-training centers, as was the case previously. As part of the launch of this tool, the 3FPT organized, this Monday, September 8, 2025, an information and consultation workshop. An opportunity for the general director of the Vocational and Technical Training Financing Fund (3FPT), Babo Amadou Bâ, to present the major innovations undertaken by his structure, particularly the complete digitalization of the beneficiary enrollment process.
Looking back at the difficulties encountered last year, he recalled that enrollment was done in person at the youth-women employment-entrepreneurship centers in the four departments. This method had shown its limitations. "Many young people arrived as early as 3 or 4 a.m., and some spent several days without successfully enrolling. To address this problem, the 3FPT decided to digitize the entire enrollment process. From now on, young people can register and receive their training vouchers remotely via smartphone, tablet, or computer," he said.
By 2024, the 3FPT had successfully enrolled 46,000 young people in its various programs. But this year, the 3FPT's executive director remains cautious and prefers not to commit to specific figures. He emphasizes that digitalization could significantly exceed initial projections.
3FPT faces financial tension: Hope placed on the recovery plan
In his speech, the head of the Vocational and Technical Training Financing Fund (3FPT) openly acknowledged the financial difficulties his organization is experiencing. "The state is facing significant cash flow pressures linked to hidden debt and the suspension of certain programs by the IMF, which naturally impacts the operation of our supervisory ministry and, by extension, that of the 3FPT. The 3FPT budget is affected by the state's budgetary constraints.
Despite this difficult context, the 3FPT continues to operate thanks to the support of technical and financial partners who contribute to the financing of training projects,” he maintains. However, he places his hope in the Economic and Social Recovery Plan, officially launched on August 1, 2025 by the new authorities. This ambitious program aims to mobilize 5,667 billion CFA francs over three years with the aim of stabilizing public finances, reviving the economy and restoring the confidence of partners.
