Ziguinchor : Un comité départemental se penche sur la gestion du cadre de vie des citoyens
The Ziguinchor department is complying with the recommendation of the Ministry of the Interior regarding the management of living conditions. A departmental committee has been established to put an end to the disorganization, anarchic occupation, and obstruction of public roads in the towns and villages of the department, which negatively impact the country's economy and the well-being of the population, according to the deputy prefect of Ziguinchor, who chaired the meeting with stakeholders at the prefecture.
These consultations covered all aspects related to the living environment, including all environmental and social conditions such as housing, water and air quality, infrastructure, schools and health facilities, among others.
According to Prefect Modou Samb, field visits and sectoral meetings are planned in each sector, with traders, motorcycle taxi drivers and transporters.
A committee has been set up to coordinate these actions and avoid any inconvenience in the operationalization of the decisions which have been taken in order to free up the public road and proceed with the development of the spaces which will be freed up, the administrative authority has learned.
