Élections en Centrafrique : la MINUSCA au cœur de la logistique pour le 28 décembre
À l'approche des élections générales du 28 décembre, un rendez-vous décisif pour la stabilité de la sous-région, le président de l'Autorité Nationale des Élections (ANE), Dr Mathias Barthélemy Morouba, a réaffirmé la bonne marche des préparatifs lors d'une rencontre avec la presse à Bangui.
La Mission multidimensionnelle intégrée des Nations Unies pour la stabilisation en Centrafrique (MINUSCA) jouera un rôle pivotal dans la phase finale de logistique, en assurant le transport du matériel électoral, y compris les bulletins de vote, vers l'ensemble du territoire. Des zones isolées comme Obo, Bangassou, Djema ou encore Birao et Am-dafock bénéficieront de ce soutien crucial, garantissant l'équipement de plus de 6 300 bureaux de vote.
« Aucun bureau de vote ne sera laissé pour compte. Tous recevront le matériel nécessaire pour permettre aux citoyens de s’exprimer librement », a déclaré Dr Morouba, en soulignant la coordination étroite avec le Programme des Nations Unies pour le Développement (PNUD), qui gère l'impression des bulletins à Copenhague. Les cartes d’électeurs, déjà disponibles dans les préfectures, seront distribuées sous peu, tandis que les bulletins arriveront début décembre.
Pour le leader de l'ANE, ces élections transcendent l'exercice administratif : « Celui qui détient sa carte d’électeur détient un pouvoir entre ses mains. Le pouvoir de choisir, le pouvoir de décider ». Malgré les défis sécuritaires familiers en Afrique centrale, il appelle à une mobilisation massive des Centrafricains pour un scrutin transparent et inclusif.
Ce processus, soutenu par la MINUSCA aux côtés des forces locales, résonne particulièrement en RDC voisine, où la paix en Centrafrique impacte directement la sécurité régionale. Dr Morouba a remercié les partenaires internationaux et insisté : « Si nous voulons un pays stable et prospère, le moment est venu d’aller voter ».
