Grand Magal 2025 : 480 bus de Dakar Dem Dikk pour un pèlerinage à 4 000 FCFA
For the Grand Magal of Touba, scheduled for August 23, 2025, the national transport company Dakar Dem Dikk (DDD) is mobilizing 480 buses to ensure the transport of pilgrims to the holy city in optimal conditions. Departures will be organized from four strategic locations: Colobane, the National Arena, Yoff and Ngalandou Diouf in Rufisque.
The system is as follows:
- 150 buses on Sunday, August 17
- 170 buses on Monday, August 18
- 160 buses on Tuesday, August 19
Departures are scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Each bus will undergo a technical review upon arrival in Touba to ensure a safe return for pilgrims.
Significantly, the fare for the Dakar-Touba journey remains fixed at 4,000 FCFA per passenger, despite the increases often observed during this period. This gesture, widely appreciated by pilgrims, reflects DDD's commitment to responding to Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba's call by offering accessible, comfortable, and secure transportation.
