Côte d’Ivoire-Tentative d’incendie à FOXTROT : L’alerte du procureur Braman Koné
An attempted arson attack targeted the gas transfer chamber of the FOXTROT company in the village of Avagou, 9 km from Jacqueville (Ivory Coast), during the night of Thursday 23 to Friday 24 October 2025.
Public Prosecutor Braman Koné Oumar described this act as terrorism, of particular gravity, which according to him adds to the "numerous offenses committed since the ban, by the Prefect of Abidjan, of the march planned for October 11, 2025, by two (02) political parties."
Since this ban, supporters of these political groups, formed in armed or unarmed groups, have perpetrated, in various places across the national territory, acts of violence undermining national security and the authority of the State, disseminated false information and called for insurrection, hatred and xenophobia, thus causing assassinations, armed robberies, extortion, destruction of public and private property, burning of public and private property as well as serious attacks on the integrity of individuals.
According to the prosecutor, the effectiveness of the defense and security forces has led to the arrest of many perpetrators, accomplices, and instigators of these reprehensible acts. "Some have been tried and convicted, and others will be the subject of a judicial investigation."
The Public Prosecutor, who is also Director of the Anti-Terrorism Section of the Court of First Instance of Abidjan, has stated that these acts will not go unpunished and that the perpetrators, accomplices or instigators, will be sought, arrested and tried in accordance with legal provisions.
He also congratulated the defense and security forces for their professionalism

La rhétorique de ce procureur de Ouattara rappelle beaucoup celle de macky.
