La 18ᵉ Foire Internationale du Livre de Ouagadougou (FILO) a été ouverte le 25 novembre 2025 par le Premier ministre
Placed under the theme "Book, cultural identities and national sovereignty", this edition, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of the biennial, puts the Islamic Republic of Iran in the spotlight.
For six days, authors, publishers, booksellers, printers and book professionals from Burkina Faso, Africa and elsewhere gather at the National Library.
The Prime Minister praised the commitment of those working in the sector and reiterated the importance of books in building intellectual sovereignty. Addressing young people in particular, he encouraged reading and creative expression, describing each book and each child reader as an "act of cultural resistance."
