Culture, Artisanat et Tourisme : Le budget 2026 adopté par l'Assemblée
The National Assembly adopted, on Monday December 8, 2025, the budget of the Ministry of Culture, Crafts and Tourism, at the end of a plenary session which recorded 134 voters out of 165 registered deputies including 14 proxies, without any votes against and with only two abstentions.
Note that the overall budget is 28.9 billion FCFA. The ministry's total allocation amounts to 28,916,457,221 FCFA in commitment appropriations and 28,347,762,867 FCFA in payment appropriations, distributed among six major programs aimed at modernizing cultural heritage, boosting crafts, strengthening Senegal as a tourist destination, and supporting creative industries.
The development of handicrafts covers 4.46 billion FCFA. This program aims to structure a sector that supports thousands of artisans. The allocation for developing tourism is 7.6 billion FCFA. The management, coordination, and administrative oversight component covers 1.12 billion FCFA. This component ensures the internal functioning of the ministry.
Regarding the promotion of Senegal as a tourist destination, it has a budget of 1.67 billion CFA francs and will strengthen Senegal's international appeal. Another component, the cultural, audiovisual, and heritage industries, costs 13.94 billion CFA francs. This is the ministry's largest program, with nearly 14 billion CFA francs allocated. The transformation and formalization of the informal economy, with 111 million CFA francs, reflects the commitment to integrating informal actors—artisans, creators, and cultural producers—into structured and professionalized systems. The minister also explained that the budget will modernize, promote, and protect the sector.

Comme tous les gus qui ont une promotion, il se déguise en occidental pour se noyer dans la masse des visiteurs dans les fameuses "expositions touristiques internationales".
Tourisme moribond depuis des décennies ; jadis la Casamance, jardin potager du pays recevait bcp de touristes. Il faut dire que nos hôtels sont dégueulasses, trop chers, mal équipés, ajoutez le manque de sécurité, l'arnaque; les touristes étrangers ne sont pas des vaches à lait comme certains le pensent.
Ce gus, depuis qu'il a été nommé, on le voit toujours en "veste-cravate" : dress-code qu'il n'arborait pas à l'AN en tant que député. Monsieur, vous êtes "Ministre de la Culture et de l'Artisanat" voyons !!! Alors, vous devriez être le 1er à valoriser notre culture et artisanat à travers votre port vestimentaire (tenues) surtout lors des cérémonies officielles !!!👍️👍️

Ce budget est une vraie farce. Vous regroupez un si grand ministère pour un budget aussi modique.....le tourisme étant le duexième secteur source de devise au Sénégal fait entrer 580 Milliards et vous ne lui octroyez que 15% du budget? N'importe quoi! Comment peut-on faire une promotion serieuse avec un tel 1 milliard 600 au moment où le Maroc met 380 milliard pour la même cause? Conséquence, le Maroc à 14 Million de touristes (ce qui a généré 7 000 milliards ) et vise désormais 17 millions alors que nous on peine à avoir 1 million de touristes et nous vison 3 millions. Bref, le tourisme se tue silencieusement face à la culture et l'environnement qui le phagocytent.
