Announced this Saturday, May 30th, by the Figas Organizing Committee, Sayon Camara is among the official headliners of the event, a choice hailed and celebrated by music enthusiasts who long to see her on the international stage. Considered one of Africa's most iconic voices, alongside her brother Seckouba Bambino, Youssou N'Dour, and Baaba Maal, her album "Dinguiraye," which tells the story of this mythical city of Elhadj Oumar Tall, has allowed her to expand her audience in the sub-region and achieve increasing fame. Recognized by international institutions, she was the first African singer named a UNESCO Artist for Peace in 2002 thanks to her work in education and child protection through her foundation.
