Mr. Alioune Sarr, Mayor of Notto Diobasse and former Minister of the Republic of Senegal, presented his book "La République des Carrés - Notto Diobasse Smart City" in Brussels this Saturday. The event, organized on the sidelines of the Senegal-Belgium-Luxembourg Territories Forum, was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse audience of Senegalese from the diaspora, mayors, local development experts, Belgian and African investors, as well as numerous technical and financial partners.

Mr. Alioune Sarr recalled that "La République des Carrés" embodies an innovative vision of regional planning and inclusive development, driven by the Notto Diobasse Smart City Plan, an integrated territorial model based on three major commitments: land security, citizen ownership, and job creation through local industrialization. During the discussions, several prospects for cooperation and investment were explored between the municipality of Notto Diobasse and the institutional and economic stakeholders present. Concrete avenues for partnerships emerged in the areas of sustainable real estate, agro-industry, smart infrastructure, solar energy, and vocational training.

The meeting also allowed Mr. Alioune Sarr to engage directly with the Senegalese diaspora established in Europe, inviting them to become more involved in the structural transformation of their country through productive investments and sustainable community projects.

Closing the ceremony, the author expressed his gratitude to the forum organizers, Belgian partners, and the Senegalese community for their warm welcome and commitment to decentralized cooperation. He reaffirmed his commitment to making the Notto Diobasse Smart City model an African showcase for integrated development, serving youth and local communities.
