SEANCE DE DEDICACE : Agriculture, industrie, monnaie, un ouvrage pour Repenser l’économie sénégalaise
New publication. The book "The Success of Senegal - An Economics Manual for Governing, Reforming, and Studying," authored by Alé Nar Diop and Yves Dalmau, will be the focus of a public event scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Higher Institute of Management (ISM). This event will include a presentation of the book, discussions with the audience, and a book signing.
The book offers a cross-cutting analysis of the main sectors of the Senegalese economy, including agriculture, fishing, tourism, industry, education, and crafts. It also addresses reform issues such as currency, land-use planning, the role of the state and markets, financing the economy, corruption, public debt, and international relations.
The authors focus on diagnosing the constraints hindering the mobilization of the country's economic potential. "Diagnosis, root causes, and structural reforms to be implemented to mobilize the country's potential," reads the press release, as reported by Seneweb.
