Fisc : Decathlon Sénégal sauve 675 millions F CFA
The first civil chamber of the Dakar court cancelled, on Thursday February 5, the tax collection order dated November 14, 2024 by which the Directorate General of Taxes and Domains (DGID) demanded from Decathlon Senegal 675 million CFA francs, 450 million in simple duties and 225 million in penalties.
Libération, which provides the information, recalls that the tax authorities considered that the seller of sporting and leisure goods "had not fulfilled its reporting obligations, particularly with regard to corporate income tax (CIT) for the financial year ending December 31, 2024."
The court, the newspaper continues, considers that the DGID's default tax assessment procedure "was carried out in violation of the provisions of Articles 619 and 620 of the General Tax Code (CGI). Similarly, it considers that, in the absence of prior notification of the definitively determined amounts, the disputed tax debt is not certain, liquid and due."
