Éducation citoyenne : La Gendarmerie sensibilise les élèves de Ouakam
The National Gendarmerie Officers' School organised a themed day at the primary school in the Ouakam camp as part of the "Army-Nation" concept.
This activity is part of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of National Education and the National Gendarmerie.
The day, entitled "Contribution of the Defense and Security Forces to the civic education of students", was initiated by the Academic Inspectorate of Dakar and chaired by the representative of the Mayor of Ouakam, according to Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
The event was held as part of the celebration of National Basic Education Week (SNEB). Several activities were organized with the support of the National Gendarmerie Officers' School (EOGN).
The students took part in a flag-raising ceremony, attended a road safety awareness session led by the National Road Safety Training Center (CNFSR), and watched a demonstration of first aid techniques conducted by the Red Cross.
Several units of the National Gendarmerie actively contributed to this civic day. Following the ceremony, the Regional Education Inspector and the Primary School Principal unanimously praised the quality of the Gendarmerie's services. They expressed their sincere gratitude to the institution for this highly patriotic contribution.
