A violent altercation nearly turned tragic yesterday, Sunday, November 30, in Kaolack, according to Seneweb sources. A motorcyclist was stabbed in the neck during a fight with a construction worker in front of the Baobab hostel in the Léona neighborhood.
On Sunday, November 30, around 2 p.m., the Kaolack police station was informed of a bloody fight that had just occurred in front of the Baobab hostel located in the Léona district.
An on-site investigation was immediately conducted to assess the situation. Police discovered the motorcyclist, LS Boubane, 47, lying in a pool of blood. Initial findings suggest he was stabbed in the neck during a violent altercation with B. Diouf, a 28-year-old bricklayer.
The injured man was urgently evacuated to the regional hospital by firefighters, at the request of the police, while the suspect was arrested by law enforcement and taken to the police station where an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of this bloody fight.
According to the medical report prepared by doctors at the regional hospital, LS Boubane's condition is currently stable. However, he remains under observation due to the severity of his neck injury.
