Amnesty International dénonce l’ordre israélien d’évacuation de la ville de Gaza
Amnesty International condemns the Israeli order to evacuate Gaza City. In a statement released on Wednesday, September 10, the organization described as "illegal and inhumane" the order issued by the Israeli army on September 9, ordering the population of Gaza City to evacuate in the face of intensified strikes.
The NGO believes that this decision is part of a context of "genocidal living conditions" imposed on Palestinians. "The mass displacement order is cruel and further exacerbates the suffering of hundreds of thousands of residents already facing hunger and incessant bombardment," the statement reads.
Amnesty International also condemns the destruction of large buildings housing displaced families and believes that these operations reflect "the deliberate desire to impose living conditions intended to bring about the physical destruction" of Palestinians in Gaza.
The organization accuses the Hebrew state of ignoring warnings from humanitarian organizations and orders from the International Court of Justice.
On Tuesday, September 9, the Israeli army called for a complete evacuation of Gaza, in anticipation of its planned expanded offensive in the city.
