Le père de la star des Celtics Jaylen Brown arrêté à Las Vegas pour tentative de meurtre
Former boxer and father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, Quenton Marselles Brown, was arrested Thursday by Las Vegas police. He is charged with attempted murder with a stabbing weapon after an altercation in a parking lot.
The case began with a trivial incident Wednesday in a Las Vegas parking lot: according to the police report, an argument broke out after a man damaged the door of a neighbor's car while getting out of his vehicle. According to the victim's partner, Quenton Marselles Brown allegedly chased the victim with a knife before stabbing him in the back and then several times in the stomach.
Quenton Brown, father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and former WBU boxing champion, was arrested and brought before a judge on Thursday. According to several US media outlets, his bail was set at $300,000. The defendant's lawyer presented a different version of the altercation. Interviewed by local station KSNV, he claimed that his client acted in self-defense and that he himself was allegedly shot—an element missing from the police report.
Quenton Marselles Brown, 57, competed professionally in boxing from 1989 to 2008, and again from 2014 to 2016, earning a record of 33 wins (25 knockouts), 18 losses, and one draw. He then mentored his son Jaylen Brown in the NBA, encouraging him to enter the 2016 NBA draft without an agent and negotiate his own first contract.
