Mans (FRANCE) : Deux jeunes locataires meurent par intoxication
A serious domestic accident claimed the lives of two people on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Le Mans. Two young tenants died of carbon monoxide poisoning, while a third person present in the apartment was found unharmed.
According to Ouest-France, shortly before 10:30 a.m., emergency services were called to 36 rue Sagebien, a building located near the train station. On the second floor, three occupants of the same apartment suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.
Two of them, according to initial reports, young tenants under the age of thirty, could not be revived despite the intervention of the emergency medical service.
Nineteen firefighters and six vehicles from the Le Mans-Degré and Le Mans-Sud fire stations were mobilized for this particularly sensitive operation.
The exact circumstances of the poisoning remain to be determined.
