Après avoir accusé un policier d'injustice sur Facebook : Un agent de l'Assemblée nationale retire son post et présente ses excuses devant les enquêteurs

A viral Facebook post denouncing a police officer has taken an unexpected turn. The author of the post, PB Guèye, an accounting assistant at the National Assembly, ultimately withdrew his complaint and issued a public apology after being questioned by the police.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, around 11:00 PM, the Dieuppeul district police station received information from the head of the National Police's Communication and Public Relations Division regarding a Facebook post. The author denounced the conduct of a police officer, claiming that the officer had unjustly issued him a permit, accusing him of providing illegal transportation. The post received numerous comments from internet users criticizing the officer's actions.

An investigation was then opened. The investigation identified the police officer involved, Officer AK Fall, who was stationed at the Liberté 5 checkpoint at the time of the incident. He has been asked to provide his account of the events, according to Seneweb sources.

Officer AK Fall explains that he was on a security mission at the Liberté 5 checkpoint around 9 p.m. "I saw a Peugeot 308 driven by a man named PB Guèye," he recounts. According to the officer, the driver behaved suspiciously. "He tried to change direction when he saw the security measures," he specifies.

The vehicle is stopped. The officer asks the driver to present his driving documents. "All the documents were in order," the officer acknowledges.

However, several elements caught his attention. "The vehicle had more than two passengers on board. The driver had two mobile phones. On the screen of one of the phones, there was the Yango application with the tracking system which clearly indicated the route," the officer explained.

Faced with this information, the police officer questioned the driver about his illegal transport activities through the Yango platform. PB Guèye denied this and claimed instead to be an employee of the National Assembly. The front-seat passenger then spoke up. According to the police officer's statement, he was the owner of the vehicle.

The officer asked him to produce a document proving ownership: passport, national identity card, or any other proof of identity. The passenger was unable to do so. "That's why I decided to collect the documents and issue him a statement," the police officer explained.

It should be noted that the driver initially refused to accept the certificate. He finally relented after being pressured by the vehicle's passengers, the investigation reveals.

On Friday, November 21, 2025, around noon, PB Guèye, 35, an accounting assistant at the National Assembly, went to the Dieuppeul police station to retrieve his documents. When questioned about the events, he explained in detail the reasons for his publication. He emphasized the injustice he felt he was suffering. He swore he was not involved in illegal transportation.

Having been informed of his right to a lawyer, he contacted Mr. Fall by telephone. The lawyer acknowledged his client's wrongdoing, according to the investigation, and encouraged him to apologize to the police officer and the police force.

Following his hearing, PB Guèye, acting on his lawyer's advice, removed the Facebook post and issued a public apology. After this mea culpa, he was released by the police.

Later, he posted a new apology on social media before deleting it.
