Farba Ngom contre le journal Yoor Yoor : Serigne Saliou Guèye comparait ce mercredi
On July 26, a large demonstration for the release of Farba Ngom was organized in Ourossogui. The newspaper Yoor Yoor claimed that one billion CFA francs were spent on the event, citing the rental of 120 buses, the mobilization of 8,000 people, and bonuses of up to 5 million CFA francs paid to politicians, media bosses, and influencers.
These accusations angered the organizers, including Abdou Sow, who filed a defamation complaint with the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC).
Les Echos reports that the prosecutor has forwarded the case to the judge at the Dakar Criminal Court, where journalist Serigne Saliou Guèye is due to appear this Wednesday, with Abdou Sow having filed a civil suit.
