Pape Cheikh Diallo et Cie : gros rebondissement dans l’affaire
Things are getting complicated. Criminal conspiracy, unnatural acts, intentional transmission of HIV, and money laundering: these were the charges brought against radio host Pape Cheikh Diallo, singer Djiby Dramé, and their ten co-defendants, all recently arrested by the Keur Massar gendarmerie's research brigade and remanded in custody. But the prosecutor in Pikine/Guédiawaye has gone further. In his preliminary indictment addressed to the judge of the first chamber of the said court, the head of the prosecutor's office also includes drug use and trafficking charges.
This decision "completely changes the game, especially with regard to the investigation since in matters of crime, no time limit is prescribed", reports L'Observateur, which makes the revelation in its edition this Thursday.
The newspaper elaborates: "If the prosecutor deemed it necessary to pursue this charge, it is because the investigations by the investigating officers showed that there was drug use in addition to the unnatural acts. According to sources at L'Observateur, some of the twelve suspected homosexuals consumed drugs (several varieties, including hard ones) during relations between homosexual couples and even between heterosexual couples."
Another revelation from the Future Media Group daily: the alleged drug supplier is targeted, which prompted the prosecutor of Pikine/Guédiawaye to ask the judge of the first chamber to extend the investigation to X.
