Former Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Moussa Bocar Thiam, announced the death of his mother, Khadidiatou Ba, on Friday. The lawyer paid a moving tribute to her, describing her as "a dignified and pious woman."
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi radjihone. I have just lost my mother Khadidiatou Ba," he wrote.
The former minister described his late mother as "a dignified and pious woman, a devoted and protective mother." He emphasized the exceptional qualities that made her a role model: "A model woman because of her generosity, fidelity, loyalty, and resilience."
"With her passing, we lose a wise and open-minded advisor, a unifier and an essential pillar of the family," said Mr. Thiam.
The lawyer and former government official offered a prayer for the repose of his mother's soul: "I pray to Allah the Most Merciful to welcome her among His chosen ones in Paradise and to cover us with His Graces in these painful moments."
The funeral will take place according to the following schedule: the body will be taken from the mosque in the HLM Grand-Yoff neighborhood this Friday at 3 p.m., located next to the Brioche Dorée bakery opposite the BRT bus stop. The burial is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, in Ourossogui.
The prayer ceremony for the 3rd day is scheduled for Monday, January 12th in Hann Marinas.
