Règlement intérieur et Code électoral : Le calendrier des réformes législatives dévoilé
The parliamentary chamber is about to experience some decisive days. The Conference of Presidents, meeting this Friday, April 24, 2026, finalized the parliamentary agenda for the coming weeks. On the agenda: major reforms affecting the Electoral Code and the internal workings of the institution.
The most contentious issue concerns bill no. 11/2026, which aims to amend articles L29 and L30 of the Electoral Code, often at the heart of debates on eligibility. The text will be examined under an emergency procedure.
The marathon begins this Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with the meeting of the technical committee. The plenary session, the moment of truth for this reform, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. This session will also be an opportunity for members of parliament to ratify the list of members of the standing committee for the evaluation of public policies.
Internal Regulations revised in May
In a second step, parliamentarians will consider bill no. 10/2026 amending article 118 of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.
For this part, the schedule is more spread out: the technical committee will meet on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. The vote in plenary session is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 starting at 10:00 a.m.
