CEM de Boucotte : Un élève frappe son professeur à la tête avec un morceau de brique à la fin du cours
On Monday, February 2, 2026, a violent assault occurred at the Boucott Middle School (CEM). Following a request for intervention from the school's headmaster, police officers from Ziguinchor went to the scene and arrested PI DABO, a student at the school, for assault and battery, according to Seneweb sources.
According to the victim, GCC DIATTA, a teacher at CEM de Boucotte, the events took place around 1 p.m., at the end of his class.
When a fight broke out between PI DABO and a classmate, the teacher intervened to separate the two students.
Subsequently, the teacher asked Pi Dabo to leave the classroom. However, instead of complying, the student allegedly grabbed a piece of brick. Then, in a violent gesture, he struck his teacher on the head, causing an injury.
Immediately after the attack, GCC DIATTA was evacuated to the Ziguinchor Regional Hospital where he received appropriate care. Doctors issued him a medical certificate attesting to a temporary incapacity for work (ITT) of two (2) days.
As a result, the teacher filed an official complaint which was registered with the Ziguinchor police department.
Upon his arrest, PI DABO was taken to the police station where he was placed in custody. Furthermore, the Public Prosecutor at the Ziguinchor High Court was informed of the case. Finally, an investigation has been opened into the exact circumstances of this attack at the school.
